‘Musical Masterpieces’ Concert 2015

To be held at the Esplanade Concert hall on November 24, 2015, this year's concert will see the charming Jonas Alber at the baton as he guides the SNYO together with the eloquent clarinettist Mariam Adam, in performing the inspirational tunes of Wolfgang Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn, Franz Krommer and Johannes Brahms.

Study tour to Seiji Ozawa International Academy, Rolle, Switzerland

Four of the Singapore National Youth Orchestra’s best student-musicians had the chance to train with the world-class musicians in Switzerland from June 20-27 this year.

This may not be the first time they visit Europe. But what made it truly special about this trip was the rare opportunity to receive music lessons under the tutelage of renowned musicians - violist Pamela Frank, cellist Sadao Harada, and viola player Nobuko Imai - from the Seiji Ozawa International Academy in Rolle, Switzerland.

Over the course of seven days, Audrey Koh and Dylan Wee (violins), Daniel Ong (viola), and Joshen Lim (cello) receive music lessons under the tutelage of renowned musicians - violist Pamela Frank, cellist Sadao Harada, and viola player Nobuko Imai - from the Seiji Ozawa International Academy in Rolle, Switzerland.
