I was born and raised in Singapore. I have been a Sales Manager at the LANXESS Business Unit Material Protection Products since September 2004. I started work as an engineer with a local company which specializes in water treatment after graduating from Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. It was at this company when I first came into contact with products from LANXESS, or Bayer. When I first started work at LANXESS, I spent two weeks in Krefeld (Germany) for training and to familiarize myself with the company and its products. My current job scope is to market our Velcorin® Technology to customers who need to stabilize their beverage products – a vast market potential in the hot climate of South East Asia.

In the course of the last two years, LANXESS introduced the new concept of Velcorin® to the region of South East Asia and I have received very positive response from prospective customers showing great interest in the product. For this reason, I also travel a lot to meet with customers all over South East Asia. As Singapore is ideally located as the region’s most important business hub, all relevant markets such as Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines can be reached by air within a few hours.
